Parŏpamīsus ( Parăp- ) or Parŏ-panīsus ( Parăp- ), i, m., = Paropamisos (Parap-).

A high mountain beyond the Caspian Sea, now Hindu-Kuh or HinduKusch, Mel. 1, 15, 2; 3, 7, 6; Plin. 6, 20, 23, § 71; Curt. 7, 4, 15.—Hence,
